Hopefully you can see the blooms on this longan tree. The flowers are on each branch and they are way up high. It will be almost impossible to reach these fruits in June - July so they are for the birds. I am not sure the squirrels can get to them. This tree came from seeds fallen on the ground several years ago and I now have several trees like this crowding together. They are not considered "cultivated" meaning grafted so the quality of their fruits can be quite variable, but the birds love them all the same. Especially the black crows, they know when the fruits are ready.
