Norman Brothers

This is Norman Brothers Produce on SW 87th Avenue just South of Sunset Drive. This is a popular place for fresh fruits, deli and vegetables. This recent new addition is also getting a lot of customers in front of the market. A one-pound slice of prime rib would set you back about US $20 here. I do have a hard time to tell the difference about the freshness of the fruits found here when compared to those from other good quality grocery stores around town. But I always come here for a gift fruit basket when I need it, and I don't try to understand why.

Fresh Fruits

It's an injustice just to show the "Fresh Market" from the outside, so here is a snapshot inside, showing their fresh fruits display. In case you did not know, this is in Coconut Grove. I got some huge fresh cherries from here. They are delicious and only can be found here. It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Exotic Fruits

Shinko Apple-Pears (or Asian Pears) and California grown Persimmons fresh from the growers to the trucks to the distributors to the retailers. This is a load ready to get to the consumers via the van behind. The mark up is substantial at the consumer sites so there is a nice profit margin in this business.
