Quiet Miami Street

This is a typical quiet small South Miami street. The police monitors this daily to enforce the speed limit. In the foreground, you can see the sign bearing the name of John McCain who is running for US president. The general election is in November, and his opponent is Barack Obama.

There's something very familiar about this photo, I can't quite place it. Is it near Red road and sunset?

I grew up near there, and really enjoyed cruising through the photos on your site. So many memories!

Sad to see the South Miami skyline has changed so much, though. :(

Beautiful photos!

U r right. This is 64th street running parallel with Sunset Drive (North of Sunset, between it and Miller Rd.) This small street goes from 72nd Ave and Red Road (57th Ave. is at the far end,) and it is my favorite street as well as many other commuters to avoid the morning and evening jams on Sunset Drive. The police is here almost every to monitor the 30MPH speed limit. I usually clock at 27 MPH so they never can blame me.
