Shinju

It rained all day today but that did not damp the spirit of the big crowd getting a good lunch here at the Shinju Japanese "All You Can Eat" place on Sunset Drive and SW 87th Avenue. The name is a bit misleading because this has more Chinese than Japanese dishes. On this side though, it's all sushi which still is not really what I would kill for. But today, I tried something that looks like sea weeds and tastes like ginger. That wasn't too bad at all. This place is very casual and you can get a full day meal here for about US $15. That's quite reasonable in this economy. The problem with me is that I always have a deep remorse after lunch here because I always overdo it! Me bad bad boy again today!

Texas de Brazil

I like steak and this is my favorite place above all. They give you a token red on one side and green on the other. If you leave it on green, they keep feeding you with various cuts of meat until you give up and turn the token to red so they stop torturing you. I may show you what it looks like some day.

Where Are Your Men?

This is the biggest meal for a Spiny Orb-Weaver (Gasteracantha Cancriformis) that I have ever seen. These female spiders are spinning webs everywhere in my yard so it is difficult to walk around them and not to destroy their hard work. With such a big catch, I wonder if this gal is going into hibernation for a while to enjoy a break from working. I also wonder why I never see a male Orb-Weaver. Don't they work?

Sunday Brunch

Croissants, donuts, bagels and industrial strength toaster for a Sunday breakfast at a major American hotel chain in Miami. Other goodies like fresh fruits, juices and bad stuffs such as eggs, sausages, cholesterol spiked potatoes etc... are also nearby. From the traumatic time that I encountered last night at the Orange Bowl, I feel like eating all the eggs, ham, sausages and especially potatoes I can this morning.
