The Burghers of Calais

This papier mache replica of Auguste Rodin's famous monument in 1884 is seen inside the Art Theater of Miami Dade College Kendall campus. It shows the six men facing their impending death. The six "Burghers of Calais" offered their own lives to prevent the slaughter of the people of Calais in 1347 by England's Edward the Third.
