Mysterious Object
It's the first day of the month... and the monthly theme is "Mystery Object (sic)." This object of mine is so mysterious... If you can tell me unambiguously what it is, you'll be awarded a first prize. Go ahead, guess away! Hints: The color scheme... the letters (if you can make out what it says,) and my alma mater.

Rats! I made it too easy! Given it away, practically. That's right, you won! That's part of the University of Miami's mascot, the Fighting Ibis Sebastian. The problem is this: the first prize is a date with me! So you probably do not want it for yourself... Am I right?
Erm, I'll pass on that date, thanks.
But maybe the reward could be some pictures of the Miami Metro-Dade Police Department, from the old Miami Vice show? I'd like to see those.
